Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-23
By creating an account or using Podket, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
Podket uses AI to generate assistive summaries of the podcasts and YouTube channels you choose to follow. The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, uninterrupted operation, freedom from error or virus, and accuracy of results. AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or misleading statements (so-called "AI hallucinations"); you agree to verify summaries independently before acting on them. Nothing on Podket constitutes legal, medical, financial, tax, or any other professional advice. You must be at least 13 years old to use Podket; minors must use it with the consent of a legal guardian. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account; any loss arising from failure to do so is your sole responsibility.
Subscription and billing
We offer Free, Pro, and Max tiers. The name, length, and price of each subscription period are shown before purchase on the Plans page and on the in-app purchase screen. Paid subscriptions are auto-renewable: they renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price until cancelled. On the web, payment is handled by our payment processor and you can manage or cancel from Settings → Manage Subscription. When you subscribe through the iOS app, payment is charged to your Apple ID account on confirmation; the subscription auto-renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period; and you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (the App Store). Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; other refund requests are handled case-by-case — please contact us if you have a billing concern.
Acceptable use
Do not use Podket to violate any law, infringe anyone's rights, or harass others. Do not attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise abuse the service or its underlying APIs. Do not share your account with others — accounts are personal. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
Third-party content
For podcasts and YouTube channels you choose to follow, Podket generates short-form AI summaries and excerpts intended as commentary, criticism, and educational analysis. We do not host or redistribute the original audio or full transcripts, and we make no claim of ownership over the underlying works — audio, transcripts, and all related copyright remain with their respective creators or rights-holders. Summaries are generated on a per-user basis in response to your subscription request and use only the minimum excerpt necessary, with the aim of qualifying as fair use, fair dealing, or equivalent doctrines in applicable jurisdictions. We do not endorse, warrant, or vouch for the views, accuracy, or legality of any content we summarize.
Disclaimers
Podket is not financial advice. Stock-tracking features and stance summaries reflect the views expressed by podcast hosts; they are not recommendations from us, and you should not act on them without independent research. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Podket and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Software license and intellectual property
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the service on your own devices for your personal, non-commercial use. Without our prior written consent, you may not copy, modify, create derivative works of, rent, sell, or distribute any part of the service, nor reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the service. The Podket name, logo, interface design, source code, and other intellectual property associated with the service are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant no express or implied transfer or license of any such rights beyond the limited use license set out above; all other rights are reserved.
Termination
You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account in Settings or by ceasing to use the service. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these Terms, use the service for unlawful activity or in ways that harm others' rights, or for reasonable safety or compliance reasons; where practical, we will give prior notice by email. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including without limitation intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply. Retention and deletion of your personal data after termination are handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes that affect your rights or obligations will be notified by email or in-app notice before they take effect; continuing to use the service after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. To the extent not in conflict with mandatory consumer-protection laws, these Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the service are governed by the laws of your place of residence, and you may bring such disputes before the courts having jurisdiction in your place of residence.
Apple App Store and licensed-application terms
The following additional terms apply when you download or use Podket from the Apple App Store. These Terms are concluded between you and Podket only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"), and Apple is not responsible for Podket or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for Podket. Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied; in the event of any failure of Podket to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any), and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Podket. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Podket or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that Podket fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, claims arising under consumer-protection or privacy laws, and intellectual-property claims. If a third party claims that Podket or your use of it infringes that party's intellectual-property rights, Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any such claim. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist-supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using Podket. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
